It's a matter of trust

My approach to wedding photography requires a level of trust that’s, perhaps, more critical than it is for other wedding-photography genres. And building that trust starts long before the wedding day.

I believe that building a relationship with my wedding couple from day one is key. During my wedding consultation, I will ask questions such as how you couple met, while also sharing personal stories about myself and why I love what I do. Having a couple’s engagement session also helps build our relationships for when the big day comes. I love to photograph the hidden interactions at weddings, but clients have to feel comfortable around you or it won’t happen. The more relaxed they are around you, the more those moments will happen.

Priya and Sammy

Priya and Sammy are such a warm couple to be around. My second photographer, Niki, and I had so much fun planning their wedding with them while sitting down and eating some delicious Indian cuisine. Since sitting down with them for the first time, we still love eating together to this day. Priya planned her own wedding and now helps others make their events a success with her new business, Mahani Events. All the tiny details of the wedding can be viewed in the album!

Anu and Nayan

Anu and I have been friends since our days in Optometry school. Years later I've been granted the privilege of documenting not just her wedding, but any important family life events along the way. As the second photographer in her wedding, the moments I captured on camera are not from a photographer's perspective, but more so from a close friend documenting the raw intimate moments during an immersive day filled with hundreds of friends, family, and lots and lots of food.

Erin and Justin

Erin and Justin love everything about fall; the crisp air, the changing colors, the warm sweaters. So when it came time for their engagement photos the natural choice was during this time. One year later, they chose to do an outdoor wedding in their favorite season. Both of them fell in love during Optometry school and the way that Justin looks at Erin in all his photos shows that he plans on falling in love with her more every single day.
